Aurora Res w/ Dan

Fished for a few hours with Dan today at Aurora Res. We drug worms on bottom bouncers and did pretty good. Got quite a few walleye, one keeper at 20" Also managed 3 jumbo yellow perch. Good eats!

Spinney 9/14

I have hit Spinney the last two weekends fishing for Pike. This lake has a ton of Pike and no water skiers! Diane and I both caught a ton of fish. Biggest one was about 32" We caught Pike with spinners, super spooks, chatter baits, swim baits, and flies! I managed to catch my first Pike on the fly, a blue and silver clouser minnow. This was two years in the making and the whole reason I started fly fishing :D

Spinney Res 9/8

Took my first trip to Spinny. Caught a pike literally on my first cast! managed four for the day. Biggest was 32" Had a huge pike charge my lure but I ran out of room at the boat and paused the lure. The pike just looked at it and took off :\ Caught fish on big swim baits, spinners, and husky jerks.

Navajo Lake - Labor Day

First time at Navajo. Awesome lake. Diane and I both managed some pike and several small mouths. Going to head back this fall. Really liking the new boat. I was able to break it in fully on Navajo.
